Transparency International - Moldova (TI-Moldova) as the National Chapter of the world anti-corruption organization Transparency International was registered on June 14, 2000.
One of the main priorities of Transparency International - Moldova in launching an anti-corruption movement is to convene the most pro-active personalities known in the country as promoters of transparency, democracy and accountability - the key principles of anti-corruption activities.
Presently TI-Moldova is implementing projects funded by Oxfam NOVIB and the Academy for Educational Development.
Transparency International-Moldova expresses deep concern regarding the facts invoked at the press conference held by Mr. Sergiu Mocanu and a number of business people from the Republic of Moldova at the Infotag News Agency on 11.08.2010. If at least a part of the facts denounced at the press conference are proved to be true, this would mean a deep crisis in the penal investigation bodies and the judiciary system of the Republic of Moldova.
